Road Runner Wrecker Service, Inc. was started by 22-year old David Butcher in 1992. Already a seasoned tow truck driver, David decided he wanted to be in business for himself. The main office of Road Runner Wrecker Service is located in busy Sterling, Virginia, with a secondary location in Culpeper County. Road Runner Wrecker Service concentrates on working with insurance companies, municipalities, construction companies, police agencies, private property customers, as well as towing for the general public. With its wide range of services and expertise, Road Runner can tow and/or recover any type and size of vehicle and also perform short and long distance transport of construction equipment.

The company motto is "Dedicated, Professional Service," and its stated goal is to provide quality service from the initial phone call to its professional dispatching staff, to the servicing of the vehicle or equipment by trained and knowledgeable drivers, and finally to its streamlined billing system. The fleet includes heavy duty wreckers, Landolls, lowboys, four-car carriers, various light duty wreckers and flatbeds, and an air cushion recovery unit with trailer.

Road Runner has a full time staff of over 30 employees. Part of our success has been from being surrounded by these successful people. Our future plans are to continue to grow from referrals by doing a good job for current customers.
